CARE & MAINTENANCE
Glass
Our glass work combines traditional leading and stained glass techniques to create delicate, luminous volumes of light. We use a variety of glass types, primarily rolled sheet glass. The solder lines are composed of a silver alloy that is patinated and sealed through a meticulous, multi-step finishing process.
The metals and finishes used in our glass work naturally oxidize over time. Each fixture is sealed upon completion to help slow this process; however, oxidation is a natural occurrence, and many appreciate the unique character that patina adds over time. Please note that placing your fixture in a humid climate or outdoor setting can accelerate oxidation, as exposure to moisture and temperature changes speeds up the reaction.
For regular care, dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth for deeper cleaning when needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool to preserve the integrity of your fixtures.
Stoneware
Our ceramic work is strong and enduring by nature, and with proper care, can last for generations. However, it should still be handled with care to prevent chipping or breakage. Avoid immersing fixtures in water to maintain their integrity, and steer clear of abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool to protect the surface and finish of your fixtures.
For glazed fixtures, wipe with a damp cloth.
For unglazed fixtures, dust with a clean, dry cloth; for spot cleaning, we recommend using a pink eraser.
