Francis No.7 is crafted using a silver-based glass leading technique, resulting in a tiered, rectangular lantern form that diffuses a subdued ambient light. Its precisely delineated stepped layers evoke the geometric rigor of Art Deco and the refined minimalism of East Asian design. Suspended by a twisted black cord and terminating in a decorative tassel that recalls traditional motifs, the piece is anchored by a simple rectangular canopy that reinforces its linear composition. In its totality, the work articulates a measured dialogue between historical precedent and modern fabrication methods.
